Serving the people of west Belfast
Hello, I’m David
I want to welcome you to this website and the work I am involved in with my wife Elaine, in west Belfast. But first I want to tell you about the welcome we have received.
We are not from round here. We are both from the east of the city, and if you know anything about Belfast you know the usual pattern: east is east and west is west. At least that is how it used to be, but things are changing, the east/west Glider route is one tangible expression of that.
When we made the journey from east to west what did we find? We found a warm welcome from a wide range of people who make up the community in west Belfast. This is a dynamic, purposeful, confident community full of energy and vision. It is a privilege to have been welcomed here. As we have been welcomed so we want to welcome you.
If you are thinking about the big issues of life, interested in the answers given to those questions in the Bible and would like to know more, not least about what it means to know God personally, then check out our website, get in touch and come to join us. Bring your curiosity, you will both be very welcome.

Why here?
We are a group, a gathering, an assembly (an tionólann) of people who follow Jesus Christ.
We believe the good news of the gospel is not tied to any one political or cultural tradition, but is for all the people of Ireland, north and south, east, and west.
Those of a Presbyterian heritage lived and worshipped in west Belfast from the very beginning. Part of that story is told in the exhibition “So much a part of us” which featured in Féile an Phobail 35. For more information click here.
While this changed due to the conflict of recent years, a new beginning was made when Presbyterian minister, Rev David Moore, was appointed in September 2022 to serve the people of West Belfast, along with his wife Elaine.
We want to be part of both a place and a people among whom love for God and love for one another will make a positive contribution to the life of the community in west Belfast and beyond. We would love for you to join us on the journey toward that vision.
Let’s read the Bible together
We are excited to be holding a Bible study on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm in Áras na bhFál, 202 Falls Road Belfast. We would love for you to join with us as we discover more about who God is. For more info and directions visit our Bible study page.
